What Is a Contact List?
A contact list is like an address book, one place where your contacts are listed. Segments are subgroups of a contact list.
You can have manage multiple contact lists. Each contact list has its own data – its own campaigns, templates and settings. The advantage of using multiple contact lists is that you can have a strict divide between different customer groups. Multiple users can also be working in one account on different mailings for different customer groups without their being any overlap.
You can also let contacts themselves chose which contact list to sign up for, by having several contact lists linked to one sign-up form.
